Chapter 6:

The story starts off on a usual day, with Fuuko trying to get Choro to stand still so she can take his picture for a pet photo contest. She's chasing him DOWN a tree, when she suddenly realizes a guy with dark glasses, a hat, dark skin, and a camera is standing below staring at her. He starts to say something, and Fuuko panics and jumps off the tree, knocking him out with a kick on the way down. She almost doesn't hear him mention Ruka's name, but later, after being scolded, she asks Ruka if he has any ideas who it is, and he says no. She decides she must have heard wrong. Fuuko is scared that she'll be carted off for scientific experiments, and Natsuki applauds the idea, saying she should get her head checked out while she's at it. Fuuko swings her bag at him and an envelope falls out - and it's full of photos of Fuuko using her power! The group can't figure out what the photographer could want with such pictures, and Ruka wonders if it was even the same foreigner(That's how Fuuko described him) that took them. Fuuko's sure of it. Then, a gust of wind takes the photo FUuko's holding, and without thinking she jumps after it, walking down the wall in front of people. She quickly lands and acts normal, but hears a shutter clicking, and turns to see someone in a hood taking pictures! She tries to go after him, but Ruka stops her from making another scene. Natsuki and Yumi hope that it doesn't turn into a big problem, and Ruka cheerfully says that whatever will be, will be. Fuuko notices that his smile looks even weaker than usual though. The next day, she hears from Natsuki that Ruka is away with a cold, and he adds that probably Ruka is pretty worried about being found out too-once he had to transfer elementary schools because his power was found out. Natsuki is pissed because Ruka never shows his worry, but lets stress build up inside, and Fuuko tells him to count on her to take care of Choro(his feeding) and Ruka as well, and runs off. Yumi says she's worried about Ruka, but a=something else that worries her about the photos is that Fuuko seems to be the focus of all of them, even the ones where she's with Ruka.

Fuuko gets to Ruka's house with Choro, and remembers that Ruka lives with his uncle. Fuuko considers that probably at this time the uncle is working, so she rings the doorbell, but there's no answer. She gets worried and yells for Ruka, but there's no answer, and seeing horrible visions of Ruka dragged away by suspicious lab-coated guys, she tries the door and finds it open. Walking through, she notices what a mess it is, before she gets to Ruka's room - finds him floating in mid-air. She screams out "Exorcist!" and Ruka notices her and asks why she's there. She tells him she came for a sick visit, and he explains that when he get s fever, he can't control his power very well, and can't figure out which direction to keep his gravity. Fuuko asks about the heating, because the room is really cold and he should be keeping warm, and Ruka says it's broken. Fuuko decides to make some o-yu, (this is something like hot soup, I'm not sure exactly what), but as she turns to leave Ruka starts floating again. Fuuko gets upset at how red his face, and, thinking that his fever will never fall if he doesn't rest in bed, she throws herself over him and his blanket, telling him(while she's blushing), that she'll stay there until he falls asleep. Ruka tries to protest, but she won't hear of it, telling him to at least admit that he's tired and not to pretend that he's okay. Ruka calms down, and eventually sleeps, to the surprise of Fuuko, who was getting more and more embarrassed at what she was doing.

In his dreams, Ruka remembers being a child, and his parents telling him it wasn't his fault that 'Ruu' fell down the stairs, since there was no way he could have prevented Ruu from 'catching' his power...He remembers when the family was forced to move because his power had been found out by a classmate...and then asking them if he could stay with his uncle for junior high, and them agreeing. In his thoughts, Ruka declares everything too much trouble, and says he's fine now by himself, he wants people to leave him alone. Ruka wakes up, looks at the clock, and realizes he's been asleep for more than 5 hours. Then he looks down the bed and sees both Fuuko and Choro snoring away, and says aloud that Fuuko is out of the ordinary.

Fuuko and Ruka have instant porridge(more like stew) together, and Fuuko agrees with Ruka that it's good, though she's kind of embarrassed not to be able to make it herself. Ruka interrupts her thoughts, saying that she was right before, he was putting a wall between him and other people to keep them out. But now he realizes that it's nice to have someone beside him, and he's happy that Fuuko came and stayed with him today. Fuuko is blushing and (understandably)speechless, when the moment is ruined by the scary photographer guy, who abruptly opens the door and stares in! After a small brawl, everything is cleared up, and it turns out the guy is Ruka's uncle whom he lives with! He's a freelance photographer, and when he went to school to see Choro the time Fuuko saw him, he thought probably Fuuko was Ruka's friend. Fuuko shouts at Ruka for not realizing who it was from her description, but Ruka said when she mentioned a foreigner, he thought of a blond guy(a pretty weird-looking one too).

At school, Natsuki and Yumi are glad to hear that the weird foreigner is just Occhan (his name is Osamu), but Ruka brings them back to the point, reminding them that whoever took the pictures of Fuuko is still unknown. Natsuki suggests that because most of the pics are on school grounds and they got them envelope into her bag, it must be someone from inside the school. Fuuko is silent a moment, and then apologizes to everyone, saying she might actually have an idea who it might be. In the silence after Fuuko makes this statement, there's the sound of a camera, and Fuuko turns to see the hooded guy from before taking pics from a window opposite. The guy smirks and leaves the window, and while Natsuki shouts after him, Fuuko reaches her boiling point and jumps off the roof across midair to the window! Ruka, looking exasperated, goes after her, while Natsuki says he and Yumi will follow a more normal route.

Fuuko is really mad, and when the guy stops and tries to take another picture of her coming at him, she does an impressive version of a rubber ball bouncing off walls and launches herself at him. Natsuki comments that she's a natural athlete, and Yumi wonders why she made it so complicated. Ruka has nothing to say, just worrying that more readers will give up on them ^_^ Finally, Fuuko reaches the guy and stops him with a solid kick to the face. As the guy sleeps for a few seconds, Ruka asks if she really does know him, and Fuuko sheepishly says they were both in the camera club in middle school, and his name is Shiozaki Tetsurou. From the ground, Tetsurou calls Fuuko terrible. Fuuko says he deserved what she just did for his teasing her so much. Tetsurou says she's being cold, especially towards an ex-boyfriend...?!
