This story is about a
little girl named Miho, who's a totally normal girl who has a big
crush on the latest idol, Aikawa Hiroya. One day
she's admiring a poster of him when she hears voices which belong
to two fairies named Pig and Mog. They give her a magic
notebook and pen, with which she can write what she wants and it
will become real. She first draws some clothes, but they're
too big for her, so she says a spell that makes her older.
She's walking around in the city when a model scout,w needs a
replacement model for a shoot, spots her and thinks she's perfect
for it. Miho tells her her name is Lala, and that's about
all that happens in the first chapter. There's also an
anime starting at the same time as the manga.

Part 1(March):
Hiyama Misono is a high school student who runs long distance.
She is the Kanagawa-ken's anchor in the relay event(national
level), and
she's really good. Her mom wants her to be
the best and pushes her really hard, but she is having trouble
with her ankle. One day, while out running during training
camp, she comes across a beautiful garden full of roses.
She's sad because when she was young, she dreamed of being able
to fly and making friends with the wind, but now, she feels
trapped by the stopwatch, and enemies with the wind. She falls
asleep on a bench there and dreams of someone telling her to go
to a blooming hill where she will be given wings. When she
wakes up, she thinks she sees an angel but it is a young man
named Sakuya, who's in the acting club at his school. He
asks her why she was crying, and she's dismayed because she never
cries in front of anyone. He asks her if she wants him to
being her to a different world, and is called off by someone he
calls the 'princess'.
At school, her friend
convinces her to play a rose fairy in a school play because the
real actress transferred to a different school. They're
going to compete against a really strong school, where Sakuya
goes. At first, Misono says no because she's too busy, but
then the school doctor says she has to take two weeks off from
training because she is being pushed too hard, so Misono decides
she can do the play. At the rehearsal, Misono feels a warm,
happy atmosphere that she's not used to. She meets
Sakuya again at the competition after the play and he gives her a
rose.
Chapter 2(April): A few days after, when she's started training
again, she is putting the rose into a vase at home when her
mother comes in and demands an explanation. She knows that
she hasn't been training because the coach told her everything.
Before Misono can say anything about the doctor, her mother slaps
her, and when the rose falls on the ground, she crushes it.
Misono runs out of the house, and her mother thinks "Wretched
child". It's nighttime and Misono is running in the
street and she almost gets hit by a car. It stops and a
good-looking man comes out and asks if she's okay. She says
yes, please go, but then Sakuya steps out of the car. The
man is his brother, and they bring her to their home. She's
sad because the rose that Sakuya gave her is destroyed, and
Sakuya kisses her. He says that it is a rose that can't be
crushed or blown away. Sakuya's brother, who is a doctor,
tells Misono that she has a small crack in her ankle bone, and
that she should be careful about for several more weeks, or she
might not be able to run at all. He says he'll tell her
parents, but Misono says she'll tell them herself. When she
gets home, she tells her mother that she is going to put her
heart into training, anf thinks that if her reason for being is
to run(something her mother told her) then she'll fight and
overcome her problem. Her mother is satisfied.
Chapter 3(May):
Going off to the race, Misono is happy and her mother thinks
something is wrong because of it. She searches through
Misono's belongings and finds Sakuya's brother's business card.
She visits him(in a kimono) and says that she didn't know about
Misono's injury and she hopes she's alright, while she thinks
that if Misono has to quit now, everything will have been a waste.
She acts really sweet and caring in front of Sakuya's brother,
who remarks after to Sakuya that both mother and daughter are
beautiful.
At the
race, Misono sees the champion, Yuri. The race begins and
Misono is doing well when she gets a cramp in her leg. It
really hurts and in her head, she asks Sakuya to help her.
Then she sees a shower of rose petals and takes heart. She
takes out one of the pins from her number and stabs herself in
the leg to numb the pain or something. She passes Yuri and
wins the race, but passes out in the arms of her coach.
Chapter 4(June)(courtesy
of Liz Mancz, who worked really hard on it! Arigatou!):
Misono is in bed in a hospital, and Mama is yelling at her.
Mama is
furious at Misono, because
her collapse made Mama look bad. Why didn't Misono tell
Mama about her leg injury? Misono who has been passively
listening, asks what difference that would have made? Mama
is surprised that Misono talked back. Misono gets angry and
yells at her mother, telling her that she knows that Mama doesn't
really care about Misono, only
about what Misono can do
that makes Mama look good. Misono tells her
that Papa didn't care if Misono won, or if she made a new track
record - he just wanted Misono to improve herself. Misono
declares that she's quitting running and throws her shoes out the
window. Mama is furious, but after they yell back and forth
a bit, finally leaves. Misono is
emotionally exhausted. and
thinks of Sakuya...
Meanwhile, Sakuya is having problems of his own. Himeko is
yelling for him, and Sakuya isn't too happy when she finds him.
She complains and threatens to tell Uncle Keisuke about Sakuya's
bad behavior. She's noticed his attraction to Misono and
isn't happy. Himeko accuses Sakuya of being mysterious
and complains about a date with Sakuya... I don't know if
Sakuya refused to go, or
didn't show up... but she's mad about it. Finally, Sakuya goes to
bed, leaving Himeko very suspicious.
Misono
is still in bed, talking to one of her school friends.
Apparently, she hasn't been to school in a while, and there's
going to be a test in school the next day. Mama comes to
the door, and Misono tells Sayuki that she'll call her back.
Misono asks what mama wants. Mama tells her that they've
been invited to the house of Ichinomiya-sensei (Keisuke and
Sakuya's house) on Sunday. Misono is astonished -- how does
Mama know Ichinomiya-sensei so well? Mama puts her off,
leaving Misono upset and suspicious -- Mama is up to something.
But then Misono realizes that she may see Sakuya, and becomes
thoughtful.
On
Sunday, Mama and Misono appear at Ichinomiya-sensei's house
looking very good. Ichinomiya-sensei is happy to see them
both. He asks after Misono's foot, and then calls Himeko
over. Himeko is all smiles, and Keisuke introduces her to
Misono and Mama (her name is Ichinomiya Himeko) and asks her to
show Misono around, while he takes care of Mama... Misono
recognizes Himeko, who is very gracious and a bit proprietary.
Keisuke and Mama go off, leaving the girls alone. Himeko
makes a somewhat rude remark about Keisuke going off with Mama --
then apologizes to Misono. Misono tells her not to worry,
and Himeko offers to tell her who everyone is. Mison agrees
and says she remembers Himeko from before (at the flower fairy
show). Himeko says she remembers Misono too -- wasn't she
the Rose Fairy? She asks about Misono's leg, which is
bandaged. Misono tells her that she injured it running
track. Himeko tells Misono that she saw her on TV... when
was it? Misono tells her that it was on November 1st, and
asks why Himeko wanted to know? The date does mean
something to Himeko, but she passes it off, and tells Misono that
she'll start by showing her Himeko's own family.
Himeko
points to an older man. That's her grandfather, the director of
the hospital's medical school. She then points to a woman
in a kimono, that's her mother, the daughter of her grandfather.
The man with Misono's Mama, is Himeko's uncle, Keisuke, her
mother's younger brother (if there's a younger brother, why do
Himeko and her mother have the same last name as
Keisuke?). In the
courtyard, speaking to an honored guest is Kadou Sakuya -- "my
beloved". (She uses the term "koibito".)
This hits Misono hard. Just then, Sakuya turns and sees
Misono. Blushing, Misono turns away, feeling like a fool.
(She doesn't seem to be blaming Sakuya for deceiving her, but
rather seems to feel that she read too much into his kindness.)
She excuses herself to Himeko, saying that she doesn't feel well.
Himeko feigns concern, and asks if Misono is all right, but
Misono tells her that she'll be fine - she'll just go home alone.
Sakuya,
realizing that Misono is leaving, rushes over, but Himeko gets in
the way, and tells him "No". He's not going, she
tells him. He says that he is. Himeko gets angry and
tells him that he just met this girl... and finishes by telling
him to forget Misono -- that Himeko knows the truth about him,
and she loves him. I think she threatens him -- asks him if
he's going to rush after Misono and tell her the truth about
himself. Does he want Himeko to tell everyone his secret?
Sakuya calls her bluff... he is going to tell Misono... he
leaves with a furious Himeko screaming at him to wait.
Keisuke comes and tries to calm Himeko down -- she's throwing a
major tantrum. She screams at him to let her go and runs
out, yelling for Sakuya.
Misono
has forgotten her leg -- it hurts. She thinks about Sakuya,
and starts to cry. Sakuya grabs her arm. She turns
and looks at him. He asks her what Himeko said to her.
Misono tells him that Himeko told her that Sakuya was her beloved
-- is this true? Sakuya asks if Misono believes it.
Misono tells him that she doesn't believe it -- but that she
doesn't know what to think any more. Sakuya takes her in
his arms and tells her that it's ok -- the two of them need to
talk. He wants Misono to come back to the house with him.
They start back, but run into two women.
The
women are incredibly rude, talking about Sakuya as though he
couldn't hear every word -- they call him the heir to the Kadou
house, and comment that he's holding a clandestine meeting (I
think)! Something is said about Sakuya's mother -- I'm not
sure if the next is about Sakuya or his mother! Either Sakuya or
his mother is referred to as being the child of Inchou-sensei (head
doctor/director's) mistress, and I think they ask each other how
he dares show his face at the party... or say that the mother
doesn't dare show her face at the party...
Sakuya takes it calmly, telling Misono that they should go into
the house. Misono is sad, realizing that Sakuya has
problems too.
Inside,
they take their coats off, and Misono sits on a couch -- they are
in Sakuya's suite, it looks like. He is putting away his
suit jacket and asks Misono if she heard what the women said.
He tells her that he and Himeko are blood relatives, but he's the
child of Ichinomiya-grandfather's mistress. (so I guess it is him...)
(Boku ha Ichinomiya-jiisan no aijin no kodomo dakara ne.)
He asks if Misono is shocked. She tells him not really, her
situation is similar. Mama isn't Misono's genetic mother,
but
her father's second wife.
Since her father died in an accident, the two of them have lived
together.
Sakuya
comments that maybe the two of them (Misono and Mama) and Keisuke-niisan
can make a threesome household. Misono laughs and tells him
"Oh no! Then you and I would be relatives!" They
both get a bit embarassed, and Sakuya asks about Misono's leg -
is she still running track? Misono tells him that she's
stopped running. She tells him that she made this decision
with his backing -- that his encouragement that time gave her the
courage to realize that she should stop running track.
Sakuya gets kind of poetic here, I think (I had a lot of trouble
with this passage). He tells her that she's brave to go
against what the world expects of her, and then tells her that
her eyes hold him tight when she looks over her shoulder at him (see
why I said poetic?). His hand is against her cheek.
He pulls her close and says he wants to please her...they kiss.
Misono is now lying down on the couch and Sakuya is leaning over
her, but with a good distance between them. He asks if
she's afraid.
Misono
tells him no, she's not afraid. She trusts only Sakuya.
Except for him she trusts no one and nothing. "So I..."
Sakuya finishes, and I can't make it out -- but I think he's
saying that she's willing to go to this end.... (all the
way?) Misono agrees. Sakuya takes her hand and puts
it against the right side of his chest. "Do you know
my secret?" Misono's eyes widen and she looks
distressed... then she smiles. "Yes".
Sakuya exclaims "Misono!" and comes down to her and
they kiss. Misono has her arms around Sakuya... Time
passes...
Himeko
is pounding on the door and screaming:"Sakuya, are you in
there? Unlock this door! Open it!" The
door opens, and Himeko stands in the doorway. Her eyes
widen. "I won't forgive this!" Sakuya! How
dare you betray me!?"
Sakuya (top
couple buttons of his shirt unbuttoned and his shirttail out):
"Go home, Himeko."
Himeko
looks at Misono who has a sheet wrapped around her and nothing
else, and screams at her: Are you serious about him? Do you
really love Sakuya?
Sakuya is a woman!"

This story is
about a young girl in Grade 6(I think) called Kaname, who has
been superhumanly strong since she was born. She has a big
crush on her sempai, who may or may not know about it. One
day a new student arrives in Kaname's class and asks for her.
When
she asks him what he wants, he seems surprised. It turns
out he had an enoucnter with her when she was a kid, and he's
been training in judo ever since and trying to find her to fight
her(he thought she was a boy). Tsurugi(the boy) tries to
get her to reveal her strength, which she always hides from
people outside her family, and Kacts like she's a normal weak
girl. Tsurugi thinks that maybe he has the wrong person,
when after school one day he sees her lift up a vending machine
to help a little girl. He keeps bugging her and she begs
him not to tell anyone about her power, and Tsurugi is angry at
how she doesn't even use her power.

Morino Kurumi
is a young ballet dancer. She has been friends with a boy,
Iwasaki Tomoya, since they were children. Apparently,
Kurumi recently injured her leg and was very upset because she
couldn't do ballet for a while. This also meant she
couldn't participate in her ballet company's production, which
looks like Swan Lake. In February, she was suddenly told by
her childhood friend that he had always loved her. She was
totally shocked and didn't like the idea, thinking that he was
totally
different now, not at all like the Tomoya she
knew. This month, he told her it was okay that she didn't
love him, and Hosaka Kazuomi, an older student from her ballet
company, returned from Paris where he was doing ballet. He
was surprised at how mature she was. At the end, she went
to see Swan Lake. After it was over, Kazuomi was in a
backstage room with the female star, Anna, who liked him, but
Kazuomi said he didn't like her, and she got angry.
